TrackMasters at Infineon Sep 21

Here's a chance to run world-famous Sears Point Raceway with very little traffic. TrackMasters Racing has just picked up Friday, Sep 21 and registration is open HERE. TMR puts on a great track day event, including breakfast and lunch for $300.

Because this is a last minute opportunity, the participation is likely to be thin, making it a great opportunity to let that big dog run!

A note from TrackMasters:

Greetings TMR Drivers,

Well, it's definitely been a scramble to get 2 events filled on the same day, but we're almost there! Our thanks go out to those attending and/or those who helped spread the word about this short notice event.

However......WE STILL HAVE SPACES AVAILABLE!!!

The available spaces at Infineon are as follows: (scroll down for run group descriptions)

Advanced Racer - 2 slots available
Advanced - 6 slots available
Mixed - 6 slots available
Intermediate - 1 slot available

Our initial plan was to increase the event fee from $300 to $320 starting this past Monday. Given where we are with the registrations, we've decided NOT to increase the event price and keep it at $300. We would like to sell at least half of the slots listed above, so if you're on the fence about attending, then this is the time to jump! If the price is an issue, please contact me directly to discuss.

The weather is going to be perfect throughout the day in Sonoma, so this is a good time to get more seat time at Infineon before the season change & colder weather moves in.

Run Group Descriptions for Infineon are as follows:

Advanced Racer - This is mix of PRC (Porsche Racing Club) drivers along with other current or former NASA/SCCA race licensed drivers in very capable race prepared cars. However, there are a few of you that have the experience, awareness, and cars to run within this group. This is an open passing group and no racing is allowed.

Advanced - This group is more consistant with our typical HPDE Advanced run group. Mix of street and race prepared cars, open passing, but no racing or aggressive passing on course.

Mixed - This is our unique TMR run group that is a combination of High Intermdiate and Advanced drivers. The passing rules are also unique in that we allow open and mandatory point by passing. Cars wearing a large stick on 'DOT'(supplied by TMR) on the back of their cars cannot be passed without first authorizing the pass with a hand signal.(point by) Cars not wearing a 'DOT' can be passed with our normal open passing rules.

Intermediate - This is our typical Mandatory Point By run group made up of Low and High Intermediate drivers. Passing is allowed anywhere on course, but only if authorized by a hand signal.(point by)

If you miss these events, we have a few more this season that may fit in your schedule:

October 12th - Thunderhill
This event will be run in the reverse direction and over the bypass at turn 5. This is a very fun orientation and is also the route that will be raced by NASA that weekend. If you haven't driven T-Hill in this direction, you should check it out at least once!
Cost: $240
Includes continental breakfast and catered lunch.

November 9/10 - Thunderhill
Season Closer for T-Hill in 2007. Typical event, normal direction, BBQ in the paddock on Friday night, and a good time for all drivers who attend!
Cost: $240 for one day, $432 for both days.
Includes continental breakfast and catered lunch.

December 6/7 - Laguna Seca
This is our final event of the year and will be conducted with the Sacramento Valley Region Porsche Club. Thursday the 6th is a TMR day, and the 7th is a PCA date. Please note that if you plan to run on the 7th, the PCA rules for passing and passengers will apply. Specifically, no passengers are allowed unless they are an instructor, and passing is by 'point by' only. The TMR day will be run with normal TMR passing and passenger rules.

Cost: $300 for one day, $540 for both days.
Includes continental breakfast and catered lunch.

Also, Phillip Holmes will be hosting a private track day at Thunderhill on October 17th. If you are interested you can contact Phillip at: Phillip@DenaliGrill.com

Thanks for your support, and we will see many of you in the paddock this Friday!
