I haven't been on for a while, I don't know what peoples opinions are on the r56's but I can't stand them.

I saw one today heading north on 101 in San Jose area, blue with black wheels and JCW wing.

 

Prolly since you already drive the Ultimate Driving Machine. We are not worthy.

Wyncha bring that big hunk o' Bavarian iron to the track and we'll see how it does against a lowly Mini.

 

Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course (subjective or objective), and there are miles of pages of debates within the NAM Forums on R53 vs R56, but it's pretty harsh to come to a MINI enthusiasts Forum and make the statement you did without substantive information to support it.

 

Please do not feed the trolls! It makes them gassy and unpleasant to be around.

IMHO R56's are ugly, the bigger arches, bigger tails, rear bumper, bigger fogs, the new headlights..it just looks ridiculous =/...I guess one good thing is it makes r53's look better =P

 

fwiw, I love my r53 and wouldn't change it for a r56 or an evo for that matter. Something absolutely special about the car that feels like your riding on a rail. A friend of mine told me that same exact thing while riding in my r53.

There is no sobstitute for ot's unmatched fun ride and or the feel of the car.

i re-read this thread like 3 times and still don't understand what you guys are arguing about. Well sorta, but it doesn't really add up
