Breakfast Meet July 29 in Dublin
Breakfast Meet July 29 in Dublin
Lets have a breakfast meet on Saturday July 29 at Copper Skillet in Dublin at 9am. The address is 7265 Amador Valley Blvd. It is the corner of Amador and Village Parkway. We have Contra Costa and Alameda threads going, so let's make this a combined meet. Plus anyone else to wants to come on over. Post up if you want to join in.
I guess it is up to people how long they want to stay and when to arrive, but I was thinking breakfast at 9 and hang out in the parking lot for a total of an hour or so.
There is no ride planned after breakfast. Norcal does have a ride on August 5.
There is a ride the next day starting in south Livermore that is posted in the Northern California forum sponsored by the Mavericks group that I am planning on going on.

Glad to see some Minis showed up. I couldn't make it do to work calling me in early this morning. Its 830pm and I'm still there
. Was there enough interest to continue this type of meetup?

Breakfast was good (be careful ordering the "breakfast special" as it come out on a BIG pan !!!) and the company always interesting and fun
We spoke a bit about being sure to do on a regular basis and the pro / cons of having it one place or moving locations.

Missed you Larry

Pro for other locations, can be more central to those folks who are at the other end of the county... IE Oakley, Brentwood would take 45mins to an hour to get to Dublin w/o traffic. Not that it would necessarily be a problem but it would be likely different/more people would show for different gathering spots, kinda give everyone a chance.
I was with a Z3 group that pretty much got hung up on a majority of people being from south bay and the constant quick local gatherings pretty much locked others out.. no one was going to drive for 2hrs for a dinner, etc... not that that changed any friendships or run events.... just that there were plenty who would like to play without having to pull the distance everytime.
Its just a comment, who am I to say I have to wait for my mini still.. but when he comes I'll be bringing "Moe" by now and then.
