See you there.
See you there.
which run are you talking about?.... this thread is a mismatch of two different events.
Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts had their Point Reyes run last Saturday (01/07/06). We had 34 cars in attendance and had a great time! If you want to duplicate this run on your own, we have route maps downloadable on our web site.
Additionally, Howard from REME with help from Larry (from Norcal) has planned a joint REME-NorCal east bay - Mount Hamilton run in February. You can be a member from REME, Norcal, MOASF or a member of no club to attend. This is all about fun!
The question is though, why not join one or more of the local clubs? Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts has no membership costs and NorCal yearly dues are minimal. If you join you should get email notification of upcoming events and be better able to plan your calendar.
2-way radios help but are not required. If you plan on going on runs on a regular basis you will want to make the small investment. It is nice to be able to communicate duriing runs to alert other drivers of road hazzards (including militant bike riders, chuck holes, road debris, etc) and to find out or express your needs of a kidney break or fuel requirements.

I have been on several runs with REME and signing up on the website was quick and easy.
I have not been too active in NORCAL because I can usually only get rid of the kids one weekend a month, and I now know some of the REME folks and like them. This is nothing against NORCAL, it is just the way things worked out.
From my experience there is always at least one person with an extra radio. I always carry one, so if you want to borrow one for the run just speak up before we leave the meeting point.
Both clubs are worth looking into joining. Good way to meet other mini enthusiasts, find out info (like where to drive, warenty issues, etc), plus discounts at various places. My fiance and I have also met several good people from both the Norcal Minis and Redwood Empire Mini clubs.
Anyways, hope to see you on a few runs.
Hope you enjoy your mini.
Hope you enjoy your mini.
We will meet at Burger King in Suisun City (near Camping World)at 7:30am to depart at 8am.
We have revised the February run to account for roads we want to drive which were previously closed to traffic. This will require a revision to the starting point of those joining us in the East Bay Area. Please review the map from the attached link: http://redwoodempiremini.com/PDF/East%20Bay%20Run.pdf.
The new Easy Bay area starting point will be in the Albertson’s parking lot in the Clayton Valley Center at 5400 Ygnacio Valley Road (Ygnacio Valley Rd & Clayton Road). Food and gas are very close by. Departure from Albertson will remain 9am.
Bring some snacks, drinks, and 2-way radio set at 7-21. After a long and scenic drive we will enjoy a late lunch at the Englander Pub in Dublin about 2pm.

[quote=Druidic Mojo]Vic's sounds good. Larry, what time at Vic's? Address?[/Breakfast will be at 7am. Vics is at the south end of Main St on the west side in Pleasanton. Take Santa Rita exit off of 580. It changes into Main at the train tracks a few miles down.quote]
Second Meet Up Change !!!!!!!!!
The second meet up spot has been changed to 5400 Ygnacio Valley Rd (corner of Clayton). Near Albertsons. Leaving at 9am. Morgan Territory Rd. is now open and on the run. If you have a lowered car you might want to meet up in Livermore after that section of the run as some members have hit bottom before on Morgan. I'll have the address on S.Livermore on monday for the third meet up. Larry
