i travel from Millbrae for Bay Bridge Motors
I tried Bay Bridge Motors right after my warranty period was over on my 2002 Mini Cooper S. I believe 2003/2004. Jacques and team have done excellent work for me over the years. And, i travel all the way from Millbrae (SFO) to have them work on my car. The funny thing about Jacques is that he has talked me OUT of having work done on my car. When i first started thinking mod's, i wanted to lower the car with stiffer springs and some new shocks. Jacques talked me out of it and saved me a bunch while improving the handling and looks. We ended up putting wheel spacers on front and back to widen the stance a bit. Then we switched out my 205/45's to 205/50's. I don't bottom out on speed bumps. The look of the "filled up" wheel wells is cool. And, i still have much better handling than stock. i had them put in a short shifter, Stoptech's in the front and new K&N air filter in 2004/5. And finally this year (@ 103,000 miles or so), i did the heads (their grind), new cam and larger intercooler. Mine is probably not the fastest, best handling Mini around. For me, it is still quick enough for me. Jacques estimates that my engine is putting out 240 hp or so....give or take. Their work is good. They stand behind it. And i feel that the price is more than fair. Oh...forgot to mention that they have a pair of loaners too. Guess, i am an unpaid shill.
