I am coming down from Seattle for a two-day Laguna Seca and and a two day Thunderhill driving event in my 2006 MCS in November and December and I am looking for some great mini raceshop ideas in case Little Red needs some help during the trip.

Any thoughts?

 

Don't know a MINI specific shop in this area (though Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland has a good rep), but what's going on a Laguna??

 

Trackmasters is doing both drivers education events. The laguna event is in cooperation with PCA and is December 6th and 7th. I haven't been on either tracks, but they are going to be a blast with the mini.

Look into Aand E in Cambell, Ca. I know they build up Mini's for racing.

 

If I were you, I would go to BRracing in Los Gatos, I have seen their race cars and they have two freakin sick MINI Cooper S's. I have had experiences with A&E and they were very ok, not great as well as I did nto feel like they really cared for my car. When I went to BRracing for the first time, Bruce and Robb were both highly helpful and they know their stuff when it comes to racing. I was very impressed with them and you can tell by their name they are in this area.

 

I've been going to A&E for 15 years, and have always had good service. I've taken 3 different bimmers there, including a race-prepped E30 M3. I have not taken my Mini there. (Actually, I haven't taken my Mini anywhere yet. Less than 2k miles.)

BR Racing in Los Gatos for sure. They are very helpful and willing to do the work that you want, unlike my experience at A&E.
