Litchfield CT meet - July 20th
Ok, NO DIRT ROADS! I have chips all over my car from the last meet and don't have the money to pay for it. As far as what radio model I have Im not sure Im not at work, it says right on the box if it has sub channels. NOMO your welcome to join me and Cooperspeed and GMINI for the run Tuesday night, but that is not the meet date its just a dry run.
>>Ants, you really can't avoid the dirt roads. Just take it slow and you won't get any chips.
>>
>>I am so psyched for this thing already!
It has nothing to do with my speed, its the person in front of me, and also you can totaly avoid dirt roads! We only went on one last time and it was out of the route path to begin with so we actually had to go out of our way to go on it.

I see what you mean. There is only one planned for Tues. night. That will more than likely be the only one in the first half of the meet. If you stay a little waus behind the person in front of you, you should be ok. Most of these roads don't have places to get lost, because no other roads connect to them. We will see how you like the road on Tues.
Shouldn't we all be working? LOL!

On that route that I laid out, there's only one dirt section, less than a mile, and last time I was on it, it was really tame. I was on a road bike and I flew down it. I think if we leave a little distance, stop to regroup, etc. it shouldn't be a problem. Canaan Mountain Road is really really cool; I'd hate to leave it out just because of that dirt section. One of us can scope it out first to make sure it hasn't deteriorated or gotten potholed over the winter...
Nobody is working here today! Lots of people not in, doing the "working from home" game to extend their long weekend.

Just ran the plotted morning course with ym girlfriend. I have some good news and some bad news. The whole 75 mile route took me 2 hours and 15 min. to complete. Of the 75 miles there are about 7-10 miles of dirt roads. Most of the roads are pretty good, but some have some bumps. One of the roads that was on my map doesn't exist, so I have to do a little replanning, maybe I can even try to avoid some of the dirt roads if possible. That was the bad news. The good news is that this is going to be ONE HELLUVA RUN! GMINIO and AntsMINI are definitely going to approve this! Now its time to map the second half of the day.
Spekaing of deer, I almost nailed one head on while testing the run out! The little sucker was mezmorized by my Xenons.
A few of the dirt roads are like paths in the woods. That is how desolate they are!

Well some most of the raods that I mapped I had never been on, so I found out that they were dirt last night. Some of the dirt roads are kinda fun. You can decide if you like them or not on Tues.
GMINIO, how many miles was the first half of the run in New Milford?

I have no idea. It was a two and a half hour drive before the utter impracticality of traffic lights became evident. Then there was the dramaticly lengthened but pleasantly surreal stay at the Candlelight Farms Airport. Miles I never worked out.
Ok, just mapped out the second half of the run. It looks like it will be interesting. There are a lot of roads I haven't been on though. I tried to use some of the roads that Chrisnl suggested. I tried to cut out most of the dirt roads on the first half. There is only one dirt road still on the map though, and it isn't that bad at all. See what you guys think of it on Tues.
GMINIO and Antsmini, do you want to do both runs on Tues.? We can do one run, eat at a 24 hour dinner, then head back out.
I will run the second half tonight I think. I will report how it goes.
After the test run on Tues., we have to put up an official thread. I have a name I think, I will run it by GMINIO and Antsmini on Tues.

Psyched for the run. Just had an awesome motor from Montauk to New Milford in three hours! Southern State was rockin with M3 action. Love that Hutchison!!!!
And by the by, stormy Montauk was absolutely breathtaking! All that rain and the stormy sea. i so wanna set up a meet for out there. I drove a good route and I know there are some nice roads to Southhampton and Sag Harbor. If it weren't for the crowds...

I think we decided on 7:00p.m. in front of the Fillene's (i think that is right where you get off of the highway). 7 for the sake of traffic. Do you guys want to grab something to eat at the mall? We could judt hold off for the dinner. Sorry to hear about the car Ants, I would have loved to see that Magnaflow you have on there.
Right on. That sounds fine. What doesn't sound fine is my S magnaflow next to Ants's Cooper magnaflow. You'll miss that. To let you in the sound is that of a ticking motor, the drones cancel each other out and and the higher pitches come pippin and poppin forward. "What's wrong with my car?!!!!" shouted Antsmini atop the Waramaug overlook. Right ants?
I'll be grabbin a bite at the mall before you get there. Will need food at that point.

Cooperspeed, I am down for grabbing food. Ill be starving at that point.
