We had an AWESOME time. The weather was great, and we didn't lose anyone the whole day. We hit some GREAT twisty roads. I can't wait to see some pictures from everyone. Thanks to everyone that helped me organize this thing. We have to do it again!
>>Ants, I think it is called "Yelping Hill". That means Anthony yelping about his paint...LOL...
I think that was the only road of the day where I came close to getting the MINI high-centered

WOW! SO MUCH FUN! This was my first MINI rally, and I absolutely loved it. Great route, great people, great driving, great weather... It was good to finally meet so many of you. I definitely spent a lot of time today tiptoeing around my car's limits. My favorite part was that road after lunch that was covered with sand - I was only three or four cars back, and I could barely see the road, there was so much dust in the air! I am really kicking myself for forgetting my camera in Boston. Thanks for the pics Hank and Ant; come on, others must have some!
So when do we do this again?

i'm really sorry now that i missed this meet, especially after seeing those pictures and my mouth is watering thinking of the roads you guys were driving (except the dirt one i'm with antsmini on that) i'll be sure to make the next one any way.
Well. What a GREAT DAY! Thanks to everyone who made it so great. That would be evryone. Appologies to anyone I snapped at for innocently and helpfully alerting me that my brakelight was out. Too much coffee. We determined at lunch that the MOT rear fog job may hev been a bit rushed
The light plate had been only partially secured. Some bump had shifted it downward out of it's housing, the turn signal was just barely in its place. I'm still grateful Harmini, Jennysup, and Tonymini, don't get me wrong!!
Enough boring tech talk. Splendid day. Breakfast at the farm in Newtown, Lunch in Litchfield, then supper at the farm again. Lots of fun fun motoring and frien dly MINI people in between and during!
Cheers!
Got home at midnight to find two big bats doing loops in my kitchen. Hope that's the last time this year. Opened a window, closed the bedroom door and went to sleep - dreaming of MINIs. Those bats fly like MINIs drive.

>>BATS!?!? Were they gone this morning?
Bats are never around in morning, silly. I got up at 4:00 needing to visit the restroom which just happens to be through the kitchen. I turned the light on, peeked thru the bedroom door for a while. Bolted quietly from the bedroom across the living room (these damned things LOVE to fly right at you and turn) to the open window, lept out onto the fire escape and went out onto the property to relieve myself. I swung around to the front door and had a good look through the screen door. No bats on wing. I would have entered that way but the door was locked from the inside. I hiked back up the fire escape, left the window open, turned out the light, left the bedroom door open, and went back to sleep - fairly certain the bats were gone. We'll see for sure tonight. Of course I could have dreamed all that. This is almost EXACTLY how it happened last year. Am I hosting an ANNUAL CREEPY BAT MEET in my house?

Some thoughts for future runs:
1. Every fifth car needs to have a radio
2. The last car in the run should be the color Yellow
3. The place we all meet at should have accessable bathrooms, pee before we leave!
Any other suggestions?
