MINIsOnTop June 16th, 2007
Yes, it's that time again ... finally.
UPDATE:
Registration is now open! See:
http://minisontop.com/2007/02/04/mot...n-is-now-open/
The story so far. Deja Vu for all MOT2006 attendees!
Friday evening gathering - we expect to have a large room like MOT2006. We expect a Trivia Contest too.
Saturday morning - Loon Mountain Gathering, the best place to meet (and for many of us maybe the first chance to see a pile of R56s - and the Cods new turbo!)
Saturday midday - the drive; there will again be a choice of routes; or gather with other MINI friends and do your own thing (for best entertainment, follow the Ocean State MINI or NEMINI guys)
Saturday afternoon - Mount Washington; gather at the base and eat & chat. Food arrangements will duplicate MOT2006 with a separate tent to ease congestion - and the salad will return
Hopefully this years weather will be nice again and perhaps we'll get a sunset view for the first time since 2003 ... or maybe it'll snow, who knows?
Saturday evening - discussions whether or not to plan anything. Your input is welcomed.
This years charity has been selected by the voice of the people; it is Rosie's Place - we need everyones help raising donations to support the charity, provide door-prizes, etc.
In recognition of it being the fifth year of MINIsOnTop, Craig / Cooperation has designed a special "five years of MINIs" Tshirt for us:

The Tshirts this year will be gray and as you see above the MOT2007 color is yellow on black. There will again be a "classic" Tshirt design (with no MINIs) for those that prefer it (and for those that simply want to collect as many shirts as me
)
The MINIsOnTop website has been upgraded to allow easier updates - and we'll keep track of chat/ideas/suggestions/etc here.
Registration will open soon (when I've found time to create the pdf); note that registration will close early this year because we want to join in with some of the MOT support activities:
The Great Ice Cream Run
Bar Harbor Invasion
Yankee Candle / Area 51
(see also the thread on MINI2)

Looking forward to attending my 1st MOT - we'll be in Bar Harbor the preceeding week. Having ridden my bike to the top of Mount Washington - twice - I can hardly wait to actually Drive to the top!

Glad to hear some newbies will be joining!
THe biggest piece of advice right now is hotel reservations. I think by this time last year they were already booked. If you want to be around the activities in the evenings, get your reservation in at the town and country asap. Mention minis on top and they will give you a discounted rate too. See the mot site for lodging options.

Win a 2-Year MINI Cooper Lease!
$25 Per Ticket, Only 250 Will Be Sold!
The organizers of the 2007 MINIs On Top event (event information PDF) are happy to announce that for the third year running, Herb Chambers MINI of Boston will donate a two year lease of a brand new 2007 MINI Cooper, with MINIsOnTop selling raffle tickets to raise money for our selected charity, Rosie’s Place of Boston, MA!

The car will be Mellow Yellow with black roof and bonnet stripes, matching the MOT2007 logo colors.
The car is well equipped, including moonroof, heated seats, front & rear foglights and a beautiful interior of chrome, Mellow Yellow and Piano Black! Follow this link to MINIUSA to see the complete specs …

As in previous years, the donation from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston is of a two year (24 month), 10,000 miles/year lease, and does not include insurance, tax, title, or license fees. The winner must execute and terminate the lease at the Herb Chambers MINI of Boston location.

Raffle tickets are available at $25 each (a maximum of 250 tickets will be sold) and one lucky winner will win this two year lease of a car worth more than $21,000, spec’ed in MOT2007 style yellow/black with heated seats, sunroof and other excellent upgrades. All proceeds raised by this raffle will go to the MOT2007 charity Rosie’s Place.
Tickets will be available through the mail by contacting GBMINI, from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston, or via PayPal to HCraffle@MINIsOnTop.com - but the payment cannot be funded from a credit card (which would incur significant PayPal fees and lessen the donation amount).
The raffle will be drawn at the base of Mount Washington on June 16, 2007 - please note that although the raffle is open to all and there is no requirement to attend MINIsOnTop to win! But, please remember that the lease must start/end at Herb Chambers MINI of Boston.
Thanks for supporting Rosie's Place!
