I'll be there with my son and wife (she missed the Rally), but the MCs is tucked away at home for the winter.
I did my own install on the BNP intake that Mini of Peabody sells. It took about 20 minutes with a Torx driver (size 26) and a scewdriver. The only hard part was removing the top of the factory cold air box/air cleaner cover.
I'm sure Gary, Kevin, and the techs will be happy to show you how to do it on Saturday
See you there.
Bruce K.

Hey Carl, thanks for the very generous offer! I'd love to take you up on it. I'll talk to you on Saturday, and I'll send you a private message with my contact info.
Yeah, I guess the plug wires are pretty easy, I guess the only thing that I was hesitating on was that someone mentioned some sort of electrolyte gel stuff that should be used on the contacts, which I don't have. Maybe it's already there on the stock wire ends, though, since I've got less than 2000 miles on the car. Or maybe it doesn't matter...
The air intake came with a decent set of instructions, and needs a few sockets, some needle-nosed pliers, nothing exotic. Thanks again, and see you on Saturday!
Take care,
Chris

Let's do it again!
FIVE YEARS since this run happened - I plan to organize a repeat along the same lines. MINI of Peabody are happy for us to start from their location, and I'm sure Woodmans won't mind us ending there again.
DATE: November 17th 2007 (Saturday), meet at MINI of Peabody about 10:30 or 11am ... anyone from this original thread interested? Who's still got their original MINI?
