Finally made my way down to Carisma to have my window tint looked at. It's going in on the 16th for both front windows. They no longer carry the 35% and I wanted to match closer to the rears. They are installing 20%. Carisma covers full replacement as long as I own the car.

have you had any trouble with yours? Even with the waiver you are only allowed a certain percentage. I wouldn't think a cop would call you on being too dark if you had a waiver. who knows.

The K-9 Trooper that pulled me over on sat for speeding was all for window tint. Wish the state felt the same way. I told him that the tint cuts down big time as far as headlight glare in the mirrors. He agreed but gave me a verbal warning on them. Even if it is only a certain percent, I would still like to pursue it. Can't stand getting headlights from, even small SUV's, blind me.
agreed. plus it just looks great on the car too. i haven't had any issues about mine with the fuzz. i've been pulled over a few times between a state officer and seabrook cop with no warning what so ever for the tint.

True. This was the first time since I've owned the car, having anyone questioning the tint. Why can't we adopt some of MA laws?
not a bad idea to have on hand. i did look into it. i believe you have to print out the form from the dmv, have the doctor fill it out, and mail it back. i think it's good for 2 years before renewal.
Per state inspection guidelines, front windows are not allowed to be tinted at all unless you have medical waver.
incorrect,
state of nh doesnt allow the front windows to be tinted at all. the only way to authorize it legally is not just a medical waiver, you need to file an application with the DMV/Dept of Safety sign off on an exception for you. The medical waiver means nothing without that. ill dig up the RSA on it in a few minutes.
New Hampshire law, RSA 266:58-a, allows a vehicle to have aftermarket tinting on windows to the rear of the driver, as long as the light transmittance is not less than 35%. This law also allows persons who require after market tinting on the windshield and on the windows on either side of the driver for medical reasons, as outlined in Administrative Rule Saf-C 2500. This waiver does not allow tinting that is less than 35% light transmittance. Application Process Pursuant Saf-C 2500, persons wishing to apply for Tinted Window Medical Waiver must submit an application dated within six (6) months, along with photocopies of the vehicle(s) registration that require tinting. The applicant is allowed to have up to two (2) vehicles listed on the waiver. This information may be faxed to the DMV at (603) 271-7800, or mailed to: NH Dept. of Safety DMV - Director's Office 23 Hazen Drive Concord NH 03305 Once the application is approved, a waiver is granted for two years. To renew a Tinted Window Medical Waiver, a new application signed by the physician within 6 months of submitting the application must be sent in, along with a photocopy of the vehicle(s) registrations. There is no fee to obtain a Tinted Window Medical Waiver.
We fail a lot of vehicles that have front window tint.

yeah NH is not tint friendly. plus the back windows are limited to 35% no matter what medical document you have. unless they came from the factory darker.
I am going to leave my car in my Florida plates as long as possible. This way I cant be bothered with my tint. LOL! That is the one nice thing with Florida law...even though they have a legal limit of 30% tint, they don't bother you to much since most of the cop cars down there have limo tint on them.
They shouldn't care about the back windows. According to the law it's only the drivers and passenger window. Anything behind the drivers seat can be pitch black.
