do we want the same route out to montauk that I did for Sept?? (that no one showed up at??) or a straight run out ?? or a "show run" thru the towns on the south shore?? (bear in mind... no matter what you end up going thru the hamptons just to get out there....

oh there IS a fee to park at the point...

Personally, I would love to get SOME in-town driving in...scare the hell out of all the south shore SUVs. hehe i'd like to see one of them try to cut off a line of 30 minis!!

 

well.. the route I did started at Roosevelt Field Parking Garage... went out to old country road on the nassau suffolk border.. then went down to the start of the vanderbilt motor pparkway.. (a bit of history there...) out to Ronkonkama and around the lake..
then out on the LIE to rt 24.. down past the duck to rt 27.. and out to the point.. passing thru south hampton, bridsge hampton, east hampton and out to the point...

I am also a member of the LIMP preservation group so taking the Vandcerbilt (aka Long Island Motor Parkway) is more of a fun thing since it was the first hwy in the US

Could someone please be the 'official' event spokes person. It seems the meet is 30 November, is this correct? I'd love to attend but will be returning from Ohio for the Thankagsgiving holiday.
