Great to meet you, imthing1, I came home and ate some of the delicious cookies you made.. MINI COOPER COOKIES FTW!! Thanks all for coming and for a great time. I really did have a great time with you folks. Next time we should do what Drew L. did and get some hotel rooms.. make it an overnight run/meet? Sweet..

 

The run last night was AWESOME! Philly cheesesteaks from PHILLY... nothing better. MINI COOPER COOKIES!!! OMG OMG OMG!! I think I ate like 4 too many, but they were soo good haha . I can't wait 'till we do it again! I'm at work now, but I'll post some pics when I get home tonight.

Runs:
I'm working on an "autumn leaves" run of sorts. Name, location/route and date are TBD.
5 Boros Run. Give me ideas for routes. This one is prolly going to be a bit more complicated...
I'm still waiting for details on the "spirited" run up by orange county ::ahem DOPAMINE ahem::
How about a ski trip?? I know you want to go! hahaha

I'm still working on incorporation and should be meeting with MOM again this week.. I'll keep everyone posted with details as they come.

 

You guys work on Sundays? Oy.. where's the headache icon when you need it..

Ski trip, I say we call on our friend Koopa from Motoring|Underground to help us out with that, and we go up to New Hampshire or Vermont. I haven't been skiing in probably 20 years - and this is the best time, and as good as any to start planning..

But first thing's first.. the SPIRITED RUN!!

 

Looking at some routes for "Leaves Run" in NY, but we can go anywhere the leaves are vibrant. I know Vermont, and Mass (Concord) are spectacular. Maybe we can go on a Lobster Run to Maine, or a Ben & Jerry's run in Vermont or combine it for the Ski Run. There's a famous place in MA in Revere/Winthrop called Kelly's - great dogs. I see a trend here -- FOOD RUNS! Gotta change the subject as I'm getting hungry. Anyone know if we're still doing the 5 Borough Run?

 

Ah, there's also an AWESOME flea market called Brimfield that happens 2-3 times a year. In MA, but right after CT. That would be great in late spring.

Personally, I would rather just stick to Brooklyn.. I love that borough for food.. and yes, food is where it's at - for MINI runs - has been since I've owned my MINI at least, and before that, I understand. I love Brooklyn's Ocean Avenue/Kings Highway/Ave. R section for shopping for stuff I can't get anywhere else.

I live in Connecticut, and our leaves are starting to change already. There is plenty of beauty, although it still feels like late Spring/Early Summer around here.. ..combining stuff is fun, although it makes for a long day, at least for me, not trying to be a party pooper..

We could always come through Fairfield and New Haven and go to the best pizza joint anywhere - and, supposedly, the creator of modern day American pizza, Frank J. Pepe's Pizza Napoletana... the best with mozz and onion, "Chy Pie" which is stewed onion above and below the cheese, along with shrimp or clam.. YUMMY

Brimfield would be cool too... and then there's "Elephant's Trunk" which is in New Milford.. on Rt 7

 

 

i would love to get the orange county run hppening but, i have some Mini issues so, i have to fix the car before anything happens on my end.

Not a problem when your Mini is ready let me know and we will get the run organized. It is a pretty sweet run I just ran it again on Saturday and it is sick. I still haven't hit the 180 degree turn at full speed(always hit traffic).

Hudson Valley Run (Sunday Nov 4, 2007)
We will be going on a run through Orange, Ulster and Sullivan county through some insane twisties. We will be starting in Montgomery NY 12549 at 10 am .
