Hello Everyone, have we got an awesome fall drive planned for you and your MINI on Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday 16. This First Ever N.E.W. MINI Club Fall Run will have us touring the Wildcat Mountain State Park and it's stunning surrounding areas. The region has some of the best roads in Wisconsin. Not to mention, one road that is recognized nationally as being one of the best roads in the country! This trip is one that you will not want to miss! So if you are tired of boring fall city driving and need twisty bits of road to put a smile on your face and make your MINI sing, please come join us. We will be staying at Hotel Hillsboro in Hillsoboro, WI on Saturday October 15. This hotel has clean rooms with either one King-size bed or two Queen-size beds. It also offers a pool, hot tub, continental breakfast, and a Bar and Grill. At our group rate, a one-night stay at the hotel, with tax, will come to $93.91(or $84.52 with a AAA card). Please call the the hotel directly at 608-489-3000 to reserve your room before the September 15 deadline. Be sure to ask for the N.E.W. MINI Club block of rooms.

After this date, we take the chance of not having rooms available. We all ready have some rooms booked for the October Fall Run. My name is Shaun. I am a member of the mini milwaukee group and was told by John(also from the group) of the drive. The drive was pretty fun when I did it a couple years ago. I have replaced the exhaust, factory intake, and stock rims (for lighter rims). So am I looking forward to see what the car can do now. Has the group done any other drives in the past?

 

Great that you found us! As for a club we really started in May and have had events every month. As for the cars in the group it seems no one keeps their car stock so you should fit in well ; ) Matt

 

Hi Shaun, my name is Matson, and I am also member of N.E.W. Minis. I too have made some upgrades to my MCS and can not wait to put them to the test on the windy roads out near Wildcat Mountain area! The run to Wildcat Mountain is a two day trip, but that is because we are coming from Appleton. The other reason is there are so many great roads that we have mapped out for this area, that from our location we could not fit it all in a day drive. So we split up the fun roads over two days. You had mention that you are from Milwaukee group. That's great!! Anyone Not from the Appleton area, you are more then welcome to join us on our run. Who knows maybe down the road you may want join our club. ;-)! In fact we will be stopping at a Kwik Trip in Hillsboro(There is only one Kwik Trip in the town of Hillsboro, so if you Google it you will easily find it.) to fill up our Minis. ******(You may look at this as a Second pick up point! We are looking to leave Kwik Trip after filling up around Noon on Saturday Oct. 15.)****** Like Matt (03BRG) had mention we are a new club, but don't let that fool you. We have gone on some very awesome day trips since then. Trips like Door County, Highway 55 near Nicolet National Forest, and events like EAA and Timber Rattlers games. Hi Everyone, I took my mini out for a "pre-run" this past Saturday for our Wildcat Mountain Fall run. The roads were awesome and the weather was great! The whole time I was driving I couldn't believe that I was in really Wisconsin. I was also blown away by how many elevation changes there are in this area, and that the roads follow those changes. For anyone still on the fence, or not sure about taking two days to do a fall drive. I can promise that the roads in this area will not disappoint even the most die hard touring mini driver. We will be leaving Bergstrom of Mini in Appleton on Saturday morning October 15 at 7am sharp! For any questions about the run, or the times and the place we will be stopping at. Hi Matson,

John and I are going to meet the group at the Sparks Grill bar Saturday Morning. We are looking forward to the drive. The Madison and Milwaukee groups honestly have done much the last few years in the form of drives. I have been driving with clubs that have way too many Corvettes and mustangs. I'm not a fan of domestic but that was only thing available at the time. Come next year I have no problem whats so ever meeting everyone at a place and then going from there. FYI... every year in April there is BMW drive in the dells. The drive is fun as there are a lot of beamers from 1s to 7s. It is sponsored and they give a way a lot of stuff.
