Has anyone tried using a different cable then the one supplied for Mini Connected?

I need one at least 4 - 6 ft long. I was thinking about this one, but want to make sure it wont have any issues with Mini Connected!

Depends on what your trying to do. The supplied Y cable cannot be duplicated.
The mini plug has (3) rings and carries signals including video. So if your looking for video and or album cover art, you'll need to continue with that plug. With that said there are extensions with the right configurations that can be used. Using the Y cable at the end and plugging in to your I phone, I pad etc. that's what I used, then found a 30 pin extension that worked also, a bit flimsy though. Eliminated all those after I found the correct snapin cradle for the I phone in the armrest.You can do a search on here, plenty of conversation in that regard. This might be a source for the 30 pin connector. Good luck
