XM Radio Antenna Help

Attempting to hide the Terk XM Micro antenna in the base of a 2006 MCS when I came upon a stumbling block. The 4 screws that hold the base plate on the bottom of the antenna base of the MCS, what size are they (nothing that I have will fit). Also while I am asking what size is the nut that hold the whole antenna unit to roof (I used a pair of duckbill plyers) . Thanks in advance for the help. This is the number 1 source for getting bailed out when you hit that road block or mental block.

Hey Stan, if it hasn't changed with the later models the nut holding the antenna to the roof is 17mm. Don't know about the other screws since I didn't do anything with those when I did something similar with mine... all I did was loosen the nut on the top of the roof and I was able to route the XM antenna lead through.

Went to Sears and got a T6 Torx for the base, disassembled a Terk antenna, install the guts of it in the antenna base. I had to drill a hole to feed the wire through the base, would not fit the slot even with the purple plug removed. Everything went smooth, works great even if it was a little nerve racking drilling the antenna base.
Hope your brake job went ok.
