garmin nuvi 660

i finally gave up on removing the factory nav and replacing it with the factory speedo. i bought a nuvi 660. now i need to fabricate something to go over the factory nav so i can mount the nuvi on it. any suggestions?

My only fear that is anything you would fabricate to fit in front of the factory nav would have the after thought or tacked on look. I would think you might want to also be able to still access the factory screen occasionally for OBC functions perhaps.

Is there any room to position the 660 up near the sterring column?
