I'll be running the new Pioneer Premiere seperates 6 3/4" TS-C720PRS and class D PRS-D4100F 4 x 75watt amp for it all, bridged to 300 watts to the subs and 75 to each front. I'll be leavign the rears run off the deck or even disconnected. They are way to close to the front seats.

Well then damnit, you'll have to wait.

LOL

I've been busy so I haven't got much done on it. I plan on trying to get a lot done during this week.

I know.

I'm a slow person.

No no. That's all done and already delivered to a happy customer. The wife and I are in the middle of buying a business and all the research and due diligence is time consuming.

Ok, here are a few up date pics. So far I've done a coat of filler mixed with resin, sanded that, repeated, put down a guide coat of filler primer, snaded most of that down. I'll have to do some more filler coats in a few areas and then guide coat it again. At this point my right arm is ready to fall of because I have to do most of the sanding by hand because of the angle and curves and the small area. So I'll see how much I can do by next week.

Mad Props!!!

Man I have got to give you props for this. Most people would not be this involved in making a speaker box. They would do this about have the way that you have taken it. This is going to be one of the best boxes around. I love the concept and the way it will finish. I am a little worried about rattling, but it is so rigid how could it? Well I am glad to see pics of the box's progess can't wait to see it finished.

Got me drooling

Greg,

I'm new here, but I've been a MINI enthusiast since their debut, and a car audio enthusiast for many years prior to that. I'll be purchasing 2 new MINI's at the end of the year (one for me and one for my wife). Your sub enclosure is easily one of the nicest I've ever seen in any make or model. I've got a question. With some modification of your ring positioning, do you think your enclosure would handle two subs with the specifications of:

Diameter: 8 in
Mounting Depth: 4.63 in
Reccomended airspace: 0.57 cu. ft.
Optimum Power Handling: 170W

I'd like to use 2 10's, but I realize due to space constraints 2 8's make more sense. Hope to see those finished pics! I know it's gonna be sweet!

The subs would have to be lowered quite a bit. Currently I have about .65-.7 cu. ft. total after compensating for the sub baskets. I'm running a pair of RE Audio 8s in mine, they only take .3-.35 cu. ft. per sub so they will just work with the airspace I have.

And as for this week's update. I did more sanding and I plan on doing more sanding tomorrow.

I hate sanding!!

No more pics at present. It pretty much looks just like the previous pics with a little less primer and more filler. This is the tedious stage of sanding, filling, snading, filling, primering and repeat.
