H/K: CD vs FM volume

I find that I have to turn the volume way down when switching from CD to radio (and, conversely, I have to turn it up when switching from CD to radio). Is there a way to normalize the volume between the two so it sticks? As far as I can find, only the NAV volume is settable.

PS: I did search this forum before submitting this post.

If you turn the treble up, you limit the maximum possible volume!

Set BOTH bass and treble at the midpoint to maximize volume

When you crank the treble or bass above the middle setting, the system reduces the volume to prevent speaker damage.

I was a bit dissappointed with my H/K from day one. I had some cds that I could bearly hear with the windows down. The sound itself was good, but not all that. 2 years later I'm having trouble with cds skipping and a bit of muddled sound here and there. The dealer replace the head unit. And what do you know?...I've got volume and the sound is sharp. I hear bits that are now sharp and clear. Like...wow there's cymbals in this song!

So always the possility of a bum unit. Compare with others with same settings. And now that I have increased volume I made the mistake ( just once) of ejecting a cd. I almost lost my speakers, hearing and my clean underwear. The H/K is still a funky system. Good luck.
