aux kit on backorder

in nashville, aux kits for minis are on backorder for a month! i thought i was done with the waiting days at mini after i got my car. . i don't want to wait a month, but i want this kit, or something very similar. where can i get it sooner than that? are there other kits that are basically the same thing that you can order online?

See if you can buy from Classic, they are a sponsor here and you will get a discount too I think, not sure though.

Why not buy it from a NAM sponsor such as OutMotoring.com?

Try my dealer's site: www.prestigemini.com Looks like they have it in stock.

I also checked another NJ dealer's site b/c they're having a sale. But according to their site, it's out of stock

If you're talking about the Aux. plug and not the IPod kit - not 30 minutes ago I walked up the parts counter at Global Imports in Atlanta and picked one up.
Maybe they've got some more.

Ordered mine from this NAM vendor:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...%2Fclassicauto

It was on sale (I think about #30.00), should be here any day. Ordered it last week, along with an overhead handle to replace the visor over the drivers side window.

I've saw used ones on Ebay, as well as new ones from Morristown MINI.

I could have sworn I saw directions somewhere on this forum that tells you how to use your Harmon Kardon stereo to control the MP3 plugged into the Auxilary outlet. I have searched but come up empty. Was I dreaming? Is it possible to control the mp3 from the radio controls? I'm talking about the $40 aux. not the IPOD adapter.

Thanks for any help.

The AUX input transfers the audio from a player to the stereo. You can control the volume levels, but not any functions of the player.
