I'm having a problem installing my auxillary input. There is supposed to be a space on the drivers hand side for it (or am I wrong on that?), but when I feel back there everything is smooth. Am I feeling in the wrong spot or is there a cover back there that I need to remove?

It is in the lower left (when viewing front) side of the radio. A serious pain... Are you saying what you are feeling is completely smooth?

 

take out the radio...... its 4 torx (the downposts) and 4 more for the radio... then if you dont see it... your blind

You list your car as an 03, but what's your build date? My understanding is that head units in cars built prior to 10/02 (first month of 03 model year) cannot accept the aux input cable. This was the case with my 3/02.

There are other options, however.
