Ice>Link Plus: How to reset?

Hey NAM,

I wanted to see if the ID3 tag update for BMW actually worked from Dension. I'm not too sure but right now it took over the nav AND the radio which I do not like. However, there is no way for me to get back to the menu by pressing the "6" key, it just won't register. I just swapped out the new firmware (2.b1) with the old 2.07.

Does anyone know of a way to force the ice link into the setup menu or even to just reset it to factory settings?

Any information would be great!

Thanks!

figured it out

Ok, so I got it all worked out.

I spoke with someone at Dension and they actually sent me the files I needed. I actually was searching around and found all the files for the firmware version 2.07. So the guy sent me an additional file called "start - __update.mp3".

So, in order to make this rollback work, the Start_update.mp3 file is played in the ipod outside of the dension plug. Then, while playing, the ipod is plugged into the ice link and the new firware, whichever is on your ipod, is installed.

I have all versions of the ice>link Plus firmware AND this startup file along with some other config files for some aftermarket radios. If anyone needs them let me know and I'll send you the batch of files that I received.
