I have a porsche and gf has a fx35 with navi, they both auto facing the direction you going, but my mini always point north, is there a way to turn it?

Yes, that is avalable on the Mini NAV. I'm not in my car right now to give you the right clicks but from what I remeber if you are on the map and you click one it is one of the options. I can give you more spesific guide tomorrow.

 

You can change it under the option traveling direction.

 

But it only does so at 1 mile or less.

when you change it, the map doesn't update until you reach the end of the screen.

That is only true if using the 'point the map in my direction'
If you are having the map point North, it smoothly scrolls along.
