Another AUX input problem thread!!

Sorry guys for bringing this up again, but i am another owner having problems with the aux plug that i had installed from the dealer in a 05 MCS. The cutting out issue with my xm radio. I took it to the dealer to have it fixed as i told that i had cutting out issues with the xm hooked up to the radio via the auz plug. It would just switch back to the radio and i would not have the aux input unless i turn the radio off and turn it back on a few times. Well the dealer said they fixed the problem and it should work. Well i got in the car and the dash is hanging out. I told them that they need to fix this. So the Service guy brings it to the back and have it fixed. Well he comes out and tells me that they did not fix the aux plug. Then he goes to tell me that i may have problems getting the aux plug fixed because i installed the xm radio and have the power coming from the fuse box using a add-a-fuse tap. I told him that this problem happend before i begain to install the xm into the car. Well he then goes to tell me i should have not done that and called the dealer. Well I did do that the same day i went to install the xm radio which was this past saturday. I told him that i installed it so i did not have to worry about it later on, since i had the free time this past weekend and would the next few weeks as i have my brothers wedding to attend in two weeks. For being my first brand new car and my first warranty experience, this sure is not a good one. What do you guys think i should do? He said give him a week or so to see what he can do. I dont want to wait a week and have it drag on over time and end up getting screwed over. This car is less then two weeks old and I already have 3 warranty issues with the thing. One being the horn emblem and a run in the paint on the hood. Oh yea i asked him if they replaced the plug to see it that fixed the problem and he said no. What kind of service is this if they cant do a good job of even trying to solve the problem? Thats one of this first things i would have done. TRY ANOTHER CABLE!!!

Give me your adive please.

Garrett

p.s. sorry for the rant!

I know you have seen the other thread, another cable won't do any good.

I don't know what the answer is?

If you figure is out post. Good luck.

BTW, I see you have a JB as well. Maybe it's the colour.

Is there another dealer that you can take it to? If so, call them in advance and tell them about being shafted by the other guys. Promise to take your vehicle to them for services from now on etc, etc. I've run into problems with the local service department here (Momentum MINI = ***** service and incompetent service advisors [see BBB's complaint list about them]) and now drive about double the distance to get my car serviced. But that's still only about 20 or so miles. These days, the new dealer knows me by name, greets me with coffee and even washes my car before I pick it up again. If another dealer is not an option, you'll probably need to bite the bullet and give them the time to work on it.
