I guess I need Help :)

Ok, I have been thinking about getting an Ipod, and an adaptor to control it from my factory HK unit. Now, I was also looking at the HK Enabler, and an Alpine unit, and an Alpine, which would be nice, then I could use the much better EQ in the Alpine (the higher end model), to help cut down on the harshness I hear with the HK tweets/mids at higher volumes .... I also noticed Dension had a HU with a HD in it, but have no idea what it costs, or what it is like.

So, is there any other options out there? Suggestions, advice appreciated! My goal is to have ALL my music at hand, with as easy control of it as possible... thanks!

Doug

I would recommend upgrading to an Alpine system. They have a wide variety of components. You could have Sirius, XM, Ipod, and an MP3 changer all controlled thru the headunit.

All I readll care about is MPP3 (and really, as many other formats as possible - AAC lossless is attractive, but that limits me to IPOD) ... Radio, I do not care about, I like to listen to KDUG

Doesn't apply to car audio, but the very popular Windows media player "WinAmp" supports AAC too.

So many people mistakenly think that AAC is a closed format. It's not. Apple just adopted it as their "primary" codec. It's superior to MP3 in quality & size, so I'm still hoping that more companies & products grow to support it!
