Does the sirius radio option on the mini configurator come with a subscription to the service? I was looking at the sirius site and apparently their subscription is $500 for life. Just wondering while playing with the config.

The Sirius "lifetime" subscription is only good for the LIFE of the radio you register with them. In other words if your radio breaks 2 years down the line you'd have to re-subscribe.

It isn't worth the risk...go month to month or multi-year.

 

Agreed. I love my Sirius but unfortunately since it is attached to the radio, not you, I would never do this. And I doubt that the Mini configurator factors this in the price. Any subscription would be extra.
