NAV loading issue even with new Head Unit
NAV loading issue even with new Head Unit (RESOLVED)
Wrote a giant paragraph about a Nav issue not loading across two head units. I got the new head unit from SB2002 / coded by Ndal and him. Install went well, but my Nav not loading issue persisted. Ndal was kind enough to to remotely go over the coding and SB2002 was in constant contact because neither of them had seen this before on multiple head unit upgrades - ID6, touchscreen, wireless CarPlay, etc. SB2002 finally suggested I have my battery tested since my 2016 JCW was still running with the original battery that I've kept charged over the years. Well, the battery was bad at this point. Changing the battery cleared everything up. Just unbelievable that that was the cause of all my issues for the last year without any other indication. Thanks again to SB2002 and Ndal for their patience and understanding while we got this worked out. I'm very happy with the new unit.

The nav system of my 6 week old edrive forty has all of sudden didn't initialise. This mean that no map is displayed and RTTI is about to Off. Resetting the machine by way of pressing the quantity control for 30 sec has not fixed the trouble. I’ll book a carrier appointments the next day, however within the meantime, has all and sundry else skilled this problem?

This thread highlights one of the big limitations with CAN bus systems. Since most CAN systems rely on voltage and current monitors, if your voltage is slightly out of spec, all sorts of issues can pop up.
Glad you got it sorted!
