Checking physically to see if hu has wifi port
Hi all I have a brand new lci2 cooper s so came with 8.8 inch touchscreen as standard as well as digi dash cluster I didn't get nav package as live in UK but not just UK a little island off the coast of UK the Isle of wight so couldn't justify the over 1000gbp for upgrade and to be honest I kept reading that carplay was gonna start being standard anyway it's not much to my disappointment!!! Now apparently the Head unit is just an entry nav 2 is there a difference between entry nav 1???also yesterday I was informed I have entry nav evo is that the same I just have no idea and when I've asked people I've given vin and they just say they can't pull the hu spec?? I dunno if it's cos car so new only built in March??? Anyway I would really like carplay but the options seem to be like 800 odd quid?? Yet other people say they can do it remotely through coding??? Anyway I wondsred if anyone had a video of removing the 8.8 inch screen so I can physically see if it has wifi port or not I've found loads with people fitting it after upgrading from 6.5 but none actually removing the 8.8 also is there a way of doing it that isn't gonna cost me so much it has connected media remote services etc etc just no nav also has GPS and inbuilt sim card if that means anything any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks guys!!!

There are several Youtube videos showing how to remove the screen on an F5x, but I haven't seen one yet specifically for an LTI2 (2022). I have no idea if the procedure has changed at all.

Oh Mr KUBA, i know that you don't know this, but YES you can. If u have access to FASTA Data and to GIS you can find out what type of unit the car has. You can find out Hardware type, Serial Number and Head unit specifications.
But not all people knows this! So yes you can do that. No worries, if u have a Vin you can contact me and i will tell you! For free
