What the differences are between the Mini Visual Boost HU and the Mini Navigation HU?

I ask as I was reading the trace files from my CHAMP2R unit with NCS Expert, then looking at the trace files with NCS Dummy, there appeared to be an option for NAVI there.

So I decided to compare the CHAMP2 file from a friend's car which has Mini navigation, I copied in the options to my unit, and lo and behold on the main menu screen there was the navigation symbol !!

Of course as my car doesn't have the USB in the glovebox, I was unable to see if it were possible to read the 1b file from the unit, and then generate a FSC code from my short VIN, to see if uploading a map might be possible.

I may be barking up the wrong tree of course, but interesting all the same.

The software installed currently is as follows

As I say it might be an interesting project if nothing else, and I'd love to hear from someone with more knowledge of these things.

You might want to check the back of your unit. I'm not sure it would have the GPS connection.

I shall do that Dan, the GPS part of the coding was already enabled according to ZCS dummy which is what made me curious in the first place.

I shall report back what I find.
