This is a bit embarrassing for a first post, but I wanted to make sure I could switch my cigarette lighter for one with USB and ended up pulling a bit harder that I should have. Not sure how I managed this since the orange part is larger that the trim opening. How do I get this back in without breaking anything? It's an R50 2006.
Yeah, I definitely tried that until I got to level of force where I was afraid I'd break the trim. Is it more robust than I think? I would be so upset if I messed that up!
After my state inspection, I asked the Jiffy Lube technician if he had any ideas. For future reference: pull the orange bit down from the metal part until it can squeeze together enough to fit through the trim hole -then the rest follows in easily. It took him all of 15 seconds to figure out...
