adhesive for metal strip

Hi

I have a 2006 R50

The metal strip that goes over the rocker panel trim in the doorway is bent up from a repair.

What is the best adhesive to use ?

Appreciate all responses.

It's originally attached with double stick tape, and would be the best for repair as well.
