Garbled LCD?

Garbled LCD
Any help on how to fix this garbled LCD? (2010 Copper base)The funny thing is when the temps drop below 55 or 60, the screen works fine.

I am not sure there is anything else you can do besides replacing it. You might find the replacement LCD display on eBay and/or AliExpress most likely, but they might be pricey. Another option is to look at scrap yards.
Once you get the replacement you'd need to disassemble the dash in order to get to the radio. It looks scary but it's actually not that hard - I've done it a multiple times on my 2013 R56.
Just found this video that shows exactly how to replace the LCD display on Boost CD radio:
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info!

yeah, taking out the radio is a massive job; so I was hoping for a quick fix. But alas, nothing about maintaining this car is going to be easy, is it?

As I mentioned, disassembling the dash looks much harder than it actually is. There are only a number of screws and clips to deal with. That video should show you exact order and location of the screws/clips to be removed. I only ever had trouble with the screws that are inside the top air vent panel. They are going in at a particular angle and it took me a while to figure out how to put them back. Screwdriver with magnetic tip helps a lot in there. Now that I've done it multiple times it takes me 10-15 minutes to remove everything.

Giving me courage!
thank you.
I may try it after a trip to the junkyard, but I was also curious if this would fix it too (just wiping the zebra connectors):

I never had to repair the LCD in my cars, but I would definitely give it a shot.
You'd have to remove the radio anyway, but at least you might save money on replacement part.
