Determining Bluetooth??

Previously I owned a 2009 S that did not have Bluetooth. It also never had a phone listed under the menu.

Last week I found a 2010 S with 66k miles on it that I picked up to play with. It was advertised as having Bluetooth and I never checked that out when driving it.

Under the menu there is a phone icon but it doesn’t have the usual handset icon it’s just - -
under the audio menu it shows Tuner, CD, USB. Not AUX
The car does not have a USB port. It just has an AUX port.

I had the besign Bluetooth adapter so plugged it in and the AUX port doesn’t work.

does this seem normal? I feel like something is off here. Maybe someone swapped head unit? If the phone icon is present shouldn’t I have Bluetooth and the USB port? There is a 5a fuse in the panel marked with the phone.

any thoughts? I took some pictures to send local dealer and ask but they never got back with me.
