I'm just going to post here Dan so you just have to answer questions once, hopefully.
So currently, I have an aftermarket module connected to the head unit to have my backup and front cameras to work on the display. For whatever reason, the mics aren't working anything. There were at one point. The dealer didn't want to do any work or replace my head unit unless I remove everything. So if this works for, I rather do that. I've been talking to the company about the head unit via Alibaba. There seems to be a few things they aren't too sure about. Do you think you have answers?
1) so is it like having an android tablet in your dash? 2) does it need to be connected to the internet at all times? 3) is the gps sensor integrated in the unit? 4) I was able to take the round ring surrounding the unit off but how do I remove the head unit from that point?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
1. yes it is like having an android tablet in your car at all times but I comes preloaded with a bunch of car specific things like am/fm radio , bluetooth phone, and a crappy nav system. The first thing I would recommend doing is changing the home launcher because the one that comes on it is not very useful or customizable. I just went to the play store and downloaded the google now launcher.
2. Yea depending on the apps you run. i was using my phones hotspot , But since then just got a separate hot spot on At&T it costs me $10 per month to add to my unlimited plan . You can load music and maps to an sd card and use that but for all the apps internet makes things much better.
3. The gps sensor comes with the unit with a long wire I ran mine very easily out the back and up the side of the windshield and stuck it right next to the rearview mirror.
4. Once you get the ring off there are 2 torque screws at the bottom that come out. Then on the top there is a clip. For this its king of a pain but you need to pry the speaker grill off from the top of your dash. Then there is a hole in the center towards the radio that you push in with a screwdriver and really use some force to yank the radio out. I found videos on youtube that helped but it requires a bit of force. I was scared I was going to break something.
Do you know what rear camera is supported? As in what connection type? Resolution supported? HD?
Is the install as simple as popping open the plastic pins on the bottom of the fascia and then unscrewing h/u or is it more complex?
Did you use the wifi at all? And if so is the connection fast or slow?
What is bad about the built in Android launcher vs. upgrading.
Speed sensitive volume still work?
1. sound quality is better than the crappy bluetooth adapter I was using. And honestly i think depends more on the app and my internet connection.
2. Rear camera is the standard yellow plug like what you see on a tv for an rca connection. No clue on the resolution for the cam but video resolution is great from things like netflix.
3.installation is that simple the hard part is the clip at the top but it's not bad.
4.I couldn't get the built in system to recognize the sim card I put in so I just went with a regular 4g LTE hotspot and have it plugged in the glove compartment. I was using my phone and that worked fine too.
5. The launcher it came with i couldn't change what apps were on the home page. I used a launcher from the app store and I like it much better.
6. No I dont think it does. But all of the steering wheel controls work perfectly so I dont mind.
Thanks for your response. I just ordered mine. They told me I'm able to connect both of my cameras to the unit. We shall see.
The vendor seems to have everything lined up with an answer "yes". Makes me nervous.
Hey Dan, where did you find the slot for a sim card? I looked all over and didn't see one.
Otherwise it looks like I got the same unit.
I can't get the tire pressure sensors to work.
I tried the oil quantity reading, but it just said normal without going through the stock routine. Maybe it hasn't been long enough since the last time I checked it.
The usb below the lighter outlet works, but not the aux input. Kinda bummed about that.
I got a cheap reverse camera from ebay, works fine, you can see the steering lines as you turn the wheel. The volume also lowers when it's in reverse, think I saw a setting to change that.
I'm running my Pioneer inno xm radio through the AV input, I don't really think it sounds as good as the stock amp. I haven't fiddled too much with the EQ settings yet. I do not have the HK system. My hearing isn't what it used to be- I thought I was done with amps and subs but...
The screen is nice, came with a 4k video demo of an Asian chef slicing turkey for a lady. And some Chinese music. I deleted them.
Since my stock 3-line radios screen was intermittently failing, I needed a replacement anyway, but I really want the tire pressure sensors and oil level check to work.
I'll do some more messin' around later.
If anyone has any specific questions or suggestions, please speak up!

the sd and sim card slots are on either sides of the hazard light button behind 2 little flaps that dont look like flaps.
Ditch the xm radio thing and just use the app. You can download from the play store.
Left to right: USB cable, plugs into your existing cable and new headunit, adds another USB port, you lose aux input below lighter socket.
Next: video in, with some power switching wires, rev, dvr cam
Next: audio out front & rear
Next: 4G antenna, don't bother, it won't work
Next: GPS antenna, actually works well
Then your adapter cable from the cars wiring to the headunit.
My experience is that the TPMS will not work
The oil check will not work. You can see the screens but get a failure on tpms reset, and no action on the oil check. It shows a grayed out check button that doesn't respond.
There is a listed item to update the canbus version, so it may be possible to get it to work.
I tried 3 different SIM cards ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, no sign of recognition.
The light ring shows all events, I haven't found a way to turn it off yet, I find it distracting.
FM reception seems fine, but I don't think the amp is as good as stock, and yeah, everyone complains about the stock amp.
If I would have known that the unit would not do the tpms and oil check I never would have bought it but the seller assured me that it would work like stock. I am not happy with it and will probably dispute the purchase with the seller. I feel that they lied about the abilities of the unit.
YMMV, I'm disappointed.
You use all of those. There are a couple from the car you don't use. This scared me when I installed but everything works.
The main harness connects to the existing wiring in the car.
The rest are things like 4g antenna, gps antenna and connections for the backup cam or pre amp output if you wanted additional speaker outs I belive. I didn't use them but some with more custom speaker and amp set ups might.

Has the seller responded to any of your issues about oil or tpms? Torque pro can get the tpms I belive. I thought that was just my cars issue because the checks didnt work with the stock unit either.
Thanks for your quick response. Crap, really the oil check and tpms doesn't work on this unit? Damn, wish I knew that earlier. They already shipped my unit out.
Dan, does your oil check and tpms work? Maybe you know a way. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
This is what it currently looks like after I remove the face. Now since I have a module in there to support rear and front cameras, I don't know what stock looks like.
How did the head unit slide out as a whole? Did you have to remove the two side vents?
Update- I did get the oil quantity button to work, maybe just needed more time to hook up to the canbus. Of course it just says normal after the check, and doesn't show a reading on the status bar.
Still no joy on the TPMS, I have been chatting with the seller about the issue, it takes a whole day for a reply. And he's dancing around the issue. I think it's set up for the old ABS sensor system (RPA).
Chewy- You don't have to remove the vents. My base radio was attached to the screen and slid out completely.
You can probably just plug your cameras directly into the new unit. There may be room to leave the rest of your unit in place and just use the plugs you need for the new unit.
Thanks M&M. I'm just going to unplug what's on the display unit now and plug those in to the new unit. I think there are a few more things to plug in? Like the GPS sensor, USB cord. Not sure if I should unplug my cameras from the module and plug them to the new unit.
btw, this is the installation instructions the vendor sent me when I asked for it. I'm sure they came with the unit but if anyone here needs them.

if you have a bluetooth OBD2 dongle would an app like torque pro solve that problem? I haven't tried yet but seems like this could bypass the issue.
You will not require that camera module with the Android unit, you can take it out and the wiring. Your two yellow camera feeds will go directly into the new head unit.
I do have Torque Pro but I can't find the PIDs for the tpms. I think the issue can be resolved in software since the unit communicates with the ecu. The seller says it's just a setting, but hasn't told me how to change it yet...

you need the code to access the engineer menu, if they have not supplied that Try google, there are many u can try. In settings there should be a crossed tools in upper right of screen to get to access page
