Satellite radio not working/static using rear defrost

Hello-
I have a 2011 R56 JCW hardtop and have noticed ever since I got the car that the satellite radio always fails to find the satellites. I have recently figured out that if I have a phone charger (tried numerous) plugged into the cigarette lighter that it causes radio static on FM as well as using the rear window defrost. I also do not get any AM stations at all, and have tried in a few cities across a couple states. If I remember correctly the antenna on the roof controls XM/AM and the rear window has the antenna for FM? Anyone have any insight as what to check on this?

While I appreciate the link to wiring diagrams, it doesn’t really give me a starting point or “known common issues.” It may be helpful down the road but I’m not exactly sure where to start.

Anyone have any information on if this is common or where a common failure point is?

Bump and update.
Checked the F5 fuse, nothing there, no connections. Checked the other fuse for the radio and it is good.
I assume if the radio turns on and music plays that the amplifier is good? Is there a separate amplifier for the antenna? I would like to exhaust testing things before throwing money/time at replacing the antenna if it isn't actually bad. I find it odd that my FM radio reception is poor as well, as I believe it runs through the rear window, and not the antenna on top of the car?
