If that's what they said, they are wrong. I know because I have both the Aux & OEM Nav installed, no special tricks, everything works great. And yes, the Nav DOES lower the sound coming from the Aux in order to give the directions.

That is what I was saying, they were wrong. I said it is possible. It may be different for an 05, but for 02-04 you did have to combine the harness. They said you couldnt though because it wasnt a simple plug and play.

just had my radio/cd replaced under warrenty.. and it looks like I got a newer one that can play MP3 CDs.. but can it read tags?? how is the function different from usual CD? (which doesnt read tags either)

Plays MP3 and displays a number. Doesnt read the id3 tags. Well its different in the number of songs on a disc...

do the controls work any different??? I DL'd the mini radio manual pdf from motoring file.. and it doesnt mention mp3..

I mean.. can I move from "album to album" or do I have to go thru each track? (my mp3 files are organised by albums)

I believe you can go album to album. I haven't burnt any discs like that. I just put one disc of MP3 files on a disc and go.


It will be a trial and error thing.

so far it seems to only go track by track (as far as moving forward) but either way... it's a nice thing to have
