Blitzsafe,
I gave up on you and the arrival of the Skylink cradle. I believe the product was originally announced in Jan. 04. Here it is the Middle of May 05, and not a word as to the availability.
I asked about it earlier this year in January and got the same answer as golden_child.

I got the MyFi earlier this week. I needed something that could move from car to car easily
The Skylink would have perfect, full integration, clean / hidden install, but alas it appears to be vaporware. Too bad.

Looking at adding XM to an 'O5 MCS with H/K head unit. But still want to have the pass thru ability for an iPod interface (if its possible). Assuming I need an XM Direct unit, what Blitzsafe interface do I need?

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but the MINI/AUX DMX V.1 is already available online for $89.99.

Marc--

I've got 2 questions. I'm guessing you already know one of them. that is, is these any word on the release of the Skylink cradle? Also is 180 still the current group buy/discount price for the SLD 01? Just wondering because I've seen it a bit cheaper at a few places on-line.

The skylink is on hold at the moment. Yes $180 is still the current price.

Our discount is off of retail pricing. Some dealers price items below retail.

Guess I better chime in here. I just odered a XM direct from Crutchfied, free after rebate. I'll be calling this week to order the missing piece of the puzzle. Yep that's the Blitzsafe. Oh there is one other thing I'm missing...my MINI hasn't shown up yet.

Shhhhhh. Listen. That's the sound of me beating the dead horse.

Christian@Blitzsafe--

First of all I thank you guys for the Group buy offer. Second is there any word on the SKYLINK? There has definitely been talk of this for well over a year and still no word.

Mark,

I have the reciever, so all I need is the cable and I feel like I'm missing part of the story here.

I called both Blitzsafe and my XM radio store this morning and I'm trying to understand the deal here.

the full package for XM at the radio store is $185 with the Blitzsate cable and XM direct is $180 with a $30 rebate from XM, but the cable is $180 from you including the 20% discount.

Is this right?

Thanks

Beth

Yes that's the deal. I intended to by the adapter from Bitzsafe, but I found out I could do better with the XM direct included from MyRadioStore.com. I bought mine before Christmas for $180 with XM direct minus a $50 rebate which made the XM direct free. Call them they are most helpful.

I am no longer associated with Blitzsafe as of September of 2005. I do not frequent this forum much. Anyone with any questions can reach me@ maxxedoutmotors@yahoo.com., My website will be up and running again, MaxxedOutMotors.com by next month. I will be opening up my shop April 1st in Ridgefield NJ for anyone in the NYC area interested in custom audio installations and custom interiors.

Just got a sld01 from them. Best price I could find. Talk about a piece of cake installation! The most time consuming part was routing the cable for the antenna.

Perhaps it's time to remove this sticky

I called blitzsafe to order the adapter and while helpful;

They wouldn't honor the NAM discount without me threatening them
They wouldn't ship overnight or use my fed ex acct number...had to go UPS and it wouldn't ship for 3 days.

While it works, it was not an easy experience and would look to shop elsewhere it possible.

I would suggest anyone wanting the Blitzsafe to go to myradiostore.com. The service & price was better that going directly through Blitzsafe for me. Your mileage may vary.

well, I guess the promise of a skylink after 3 years is now just an urban legend.

I am proud to finally say that horse is dead and I can now sleep at night.
