I don't think anyone has been contacted about it yet. I gave up. Blitzsafe is being a pain in the butt. Occasionally something pops up on eBay, thats about all I can give ya.

conversation w/blitzsafe

I broke down and called Blitzsafe today. The guy I spoke with said that "for some reason the group buy with nam.com fell through"

So..... I'm guessing that isn't going to happen? He also said something to the effect of XM tying them to the combo package and the price... wouldn't XM want more people to have this in their cars so they can have more subscriptions?

XM/Blitzsafe/Ipod

Ok. By hook or crook I have purchased both the XM Direct unit and the Blitzsafe adapter, installed both and have activated the XM. All works good through MCS '04 steering wheel. Now, with the left over wiring can I hook up my Ipod? Or do I need the Icelink? Who knows the answer to this never ending saga?

I don't think the XM install has anything to do with an ipod install. If you have XM you are using the digital CD changer control, and if you wish to install the icelink you must order the adapter that allows you to plug the CD changer control into the icelink adapter. Conversely, you can simply install the ipod using the aux-in either in the back of the HU or you can use the new the SL01 from Blitzsafe in conjunction w/ their aux-in in the boot.

Not too sure if you knew this already though.

I have the Ice>Link, and Aux input hooked up to my '03 HK headunit and am looking at purchasing the Blitzsafe/XM septup. Does anyone know if this will work together?

Does anyone have the Ice>Link, Aux input and Blitzsafe/XM working together on their HK headunit? Or any combo of the previously stated?

I just can't seem to get enough music.

I would assume you can use the aux input. There doesn't seem to be a limit on sources. While I do not have an ipod yet here is what I have running off of my stoock H/K Head unit:

AM/FM
In-Dash CD
XM 1000(with Blitzsafe adapte
6 Disc BMW changer (with above adapter)
Aux stereo input (factory add-on in glove box).

I can hook an ipod to the aux input but of course I would not get control.

What I was told though is that I could get the ipod piece (icelink or others) and hook it to the changer cables (instead of the changer) and get all the control.

I hope this helps. I am just amazed at the number of sources I can have off of a stock head unit.

Chris
