Mystery connector

Hi folks, mini newbie here, came from multiple Audi's background. Wanted something different, enjoy it so far. I have found this connector in the boot wheel well, drivers side and I am hoping its a plug and program cable for a factory amp? I have the stock HU in my 2019 MCS hardtop.

That is the amp cable. You can also buy a harness from technicpnp.com and hook up a higher quality aftermarket amp.

Thanks, can I get some more details? Does that mean I can buy an OEM amp online and just plug it to this without doing anything else? I did check the site out that you linked, but it looks like I would have to wire up the individual speakers from the new amp.

You might need to do some coding for the stereo to work. Also the stock HK amp probably needs the HK speakers to sound ok. And i say OK because I never thought they were all that good to begin with.

I'm guessing without looking, but you probably don't have enough speakers in your car. For example do you have tweeters in the pillar?

No tweeters, upgrading speakers with Bavsound kit, just need more juice.

So to clarify, I can get the pnp adapter, connect it and my stock radio will be amplified with no additional rewiring? I ask because there are only like 4 or 5 wires on this connector.

Check with technicpnp but I'm not so sure it will work with the basic non HK set up. Wiring diagrams https://www.newtis.info might help figure it out.
