SIRIUS & iPod, can I do both?

I'm thinking of getting Sirius added into my new MINI and was going to go the blitzsafe route using the CD changer. However I also want to use the Ice-link connection for my ipod. So can I do both? Does the Ice-Link connect using the CD changer controls or some other way. I went on Denison's website but couldn't tell from the diagrams. They seem to have a new ice-link connection dock for the ipod. Also, i now live in Montreal and was wondering how good the Sirius reception is around here. Anyone have any luck with Sirius while traveling in Canada?

cheers,

Amit

Can't you install a sattelite radio system and put in an aux. audio port to connect your iPod? That would probably be the easiest way to do both. As for Montreal reception, I have no idea. I live in PA anyway.

For the aux input, I'd rather use the Ice-Link system so I can use my MFSW to control the ipod. If i have to go that route I will but it all depends on how the ice-link connects

cheers,

On the website it looks like you need to connect it to the CD Changer wiring Can you connect the Sirius some other way?

Yeah, just saw the cd-changer for ice-link I guess i can use the aux out for the Sirius. I think new MINI head units come Sirius ready though. I might try to pick up a used head unit on ebay if that's the case.

cheers,

Amit
