Got tired of my scratched navigation screen

Hi guys, I'm a new newbie. Recently bought a 2013 MCS. I have pretty bad OCD and the scratches on the navigation screen was killing me. Decided to remove the anti glare coating and here is the outcome.

Scratches ugh..

Post polishing..

Bought a compass with a razor blade and iPad screen protector from Amazon. Cost me less than $20. Measured everything over and over to make sure the measurements were perfect.

End result. Came out Perfect. No air bubbles or lint anywhere.

Nice job! Looks great! Maybe you could share the measurements for others who may want to attempt this. I would still suggest they do their own measurement but at least it would be a good starting point.

I'm guessing there was a protective film covering the glass that should have been removed once the car was sold and was left on by mistake.

A lot of screens (computer, navigation) have an anti glare coating put on them. Using certain cloths or chemicals to clean the screen could potentially scratch or remove the coating. I just used a polish to remove all the coating off it and the clear smooth glass remained. Make sure you use a light compound after using a heavy compound if you are going to try removing the coating.
