Radio craps out

When driving around my tuner dies out. I can see the stations but no sound. When I start the car later, the sound comes back like nothing happenened. Could the radio antenna have come loose or is it the antenna itself? 2009 Justa Cooper Convertible

If you switch to another source after it dies, do you get sound?

Haven't had a CD or MP3 payer with me in the car to test. Have it ready to go now. Bought a stubby antenna as well to see if it is the antenna itself.

Whooops!

Turned out that the positive battery terminal cable was loose and was wreaking all sorts of havoc not just with the radio but error codes and such.
