MINI's answer for my bluetooth problem

My 2014 F56 was in the shop for a wire harness replacement after the transmission replacement and wanted them to fix my radio Bluetooth problem. I have MINICONNECTXL LOADED (not a cheap upgrade) and just upgraded my phone so tried to use the apps, first song it shows on Spotify correctly and after that the display doesn't change.(shows same song for everything) Even my GoPro app doesn't work correctly, another MINI certified app. I know and tried to download software and update but my car will not take the update. They tried in the service dept. but can't get it to take the software and told me maybe one day there will be a fix. I was told that it is iPhone problem (iPhone 6)and hopefully a fix will be soon. I REFUSE to take that as a answer. I know I'm not the only one with a 2014 F56 and a iPhone 6+. Surely there is got to be a way to make my car accept the Bluetooth update. I PAID for it and it should work. I also noticed on the bill that they did not list the radio problem that they could NOT fix. I guess they don't want to document that they can't repair the car. And on top of that when they brought my car back they were late and I was left outside work in the rain and had to call someone to pick up my daughter from after school I live a 1.5 hr from the dealer, "supposedly" they picked my car up at 1:30 and car didn't get to me until 4:50!!! And all I have been told is that they will talk to their people.

I have an F56 also and have no issues with Spotify changing album art; I also have an IPhone 6.I recently did the software upgrade on my own from the BMW website listed on the other thread about this issue. What I can't get to work is the email/messages section. Sorry to hear about all your troubles.

If I'm correct yours is a 2014 right? I've dloaded the software from BMW but when I install it says no update available. My car was one of the first 2014 and be told told that the fix is for a production date like 2 months after mine.

My messages work can't get email to work thou.

Yes and from what I remember our cars were in production at the same time. I took delivery on May 14th. I (knock on wood) haven't had issues with my car except for when someone hit me last summer. They did have to replace the amp but I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the accident.

Have you tried connecting with a different iPhone 6, a friends perhaps? That might at least tell you if it's the car or the phone.

To get messages to work with my iPhone I had to go into the bluetooth settings in the phone, select the car and make sure "show notifications" is checked. See photo.
