Hi everyone,


I am new on this forum. I've got a 2009 clubman s with the navigation system. Since a week now, the main system / GPS / LCD keeps on rebooting . I tried to disconnect the related fuse and reconnect it but it didn't fix the pb at all. The systems works for like 10 sec (music, gps etc..), freezes and then reboots all the time.


Does anyone know what's going on ? What could I do to fix this ?

Check the condition of your car battery.

 

If it's a 2009 then the Nav is a DVD - try removing it see to if that makes a difference

 

Hi thanks for your help. The systems stops even with the DVD out...and the battery is fine.
It is as if I had a bug in the operating system. Is there a way to format the whole OS ?

 

When you say "battery is fine", what is the voltage?

A dealer can download firmware and flash it, but I would guess a hardware issue (brief interruption of power or other hardware fault).
