The dealer was no help when I asked them if my 2008 Justa was pre-wired for Satellite Radio, when doing a VIN Check on the BMW Archive website it shows Satellite Prep as an item.
Has anyone done any further research on
adding OEM Satellite Radio??
Note: I do have the Hi-Fi Radio option, as well as Hands Free Phone integration and USB connections.
TIA

There are some threads here on that subject, a dealer quoted me over $300 to turn it on so I said no thanks. The satellite prep notation I think is on all Coopers for the American market.

These guys have some solutions you can do without the dealer https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-yourself.html

SiriusXM is rolling out more and more channels, MINI OEM sat radios are now pretty much antiquated.

I looked into getting mine programmed, $375 for the code, and $125 for the dealer to activate it.

Get an outboard unit, they're cheap (~$50) a cable extension will run $25, and a mount for $50.

If it says sat prep then all u have to do is have the dealer program the car. But depending on your dealer its not cheap. when i bought my GP2 i had the dealer program my car. They said it takes 2 hrs.cost me $500 and it comes with a full year service. One dealer quoted me 1200 . Like i said not cheap..
