Dave nice set up. All you need now is a small 10" sub in a custom box to get that additional bottom end.

>>I love gadgets. More so than the sound of the audio. I wonder what other toys I could put in there.

How about a rear view camera, a TV tuner, and a video game for that Kenwood monitor.

>>I already ordered a Valentine 1, but I don't know how to further gadgetize it. Besides, their website says I should stick it as high as possible on the car for maximum protection...

Most people mount V1 next to the rear view mirror, either left or right. For full protection, it might be a good idea to have a laser jammer, which is legal in most states.

>>Dave nice set up. I'm currently using Infinity Basslink, which is a self-powered 10" sub, for the low end. I'm not sure if I want to add more weight to the car with a custom box.

Brown (UPS) delivered the HU today. The silver on the HU matches nicely with the silver down tubes. GPS and other goodies should be here next week. I can't wait!

YES! It could be mounted in the little round spot that's already cut into the rear bumper!

> a TV tuner

I believe the 915 already has that and you can watch VHF/UHF TV on it. Just need an antenna, which should be mountable somewhere in the car.

You might have to turn the Mini this way and that to get good reception.

Most all of the in-dash monitors have that particular safety feature due to legal issues. The car must be in park to watch DVD. However, there're ways around that, though not recommended.

For Kenwood, Pioneer, and Clarion, as long as the parking wire is grounded, the monitor will function. For Alpine, it requires a switch or a module.

HD radio???? Its just FM with better sound quality. When your mother in law comes to dinner do you care if she sounds like a heavy smoker or an opera singer?

Forget HD radio! Its still the same old hag talking with the same old tired music.

Get Sirius Satelite Radio. Great sound and Great music!

Good suggestion! However, I'm too cheap to pay for the monthly fee. Besides, I like to listen to local news, events, and traffic info.
