Why even bother with this stupid piece of vaporware at this point?
Perhaps some people may still want it? My friends cradle and iphone 4 s are still going strong after 2 years.

And spend how many hundreds of $s on an accessory for a phone that is closing in on 2 years old?

It makes almost as much sense as an accessory developer coming out with a new accessory based on the 30 pin standard...

He bought the accesory and phone a couple years ago. It works really well. It charges the phone quickly and he never loses cell phone signal. I've seen people spend more than that on a dinner for two.

You're missing the point... 3 or 4 years ago, buying the snap in adapter for your iPhone4s made sense...

Today as the the iPhone5 is reaching what is most likely the end of it's life - a snap in adapter for the iPhone5 doesn't make nearly as much sense... Last year - a snap in adapter for the iPhone5 would have made a lot of sense...

And if you're spending $150+ on dinner for two with any regularity, you're probably replacing your iPhone annually, because saving money isn't really very high on your list...

What would make the most sense at this point... Not a snap-in adapter, but Lightning cable that provides the functionality of the snap-in adapter. That way a change in the form factor of the next iPhone wouldn't impact the functionality of the phone...

My car came with the armrest but it isn't pre-wired. Based on the VIN it should be. I don't have a problem spending $124 on the cradle but not if i have to add a harness. Might this be covered under warrantee?

If your car has has the full media pack with Sat-Nav it should have the wired arm-rest. You should speak to your dealer.
