New Owner Question concerning amp
Good evening,
We recently bought a 2005 S Convertible that has a h/k head unit and speakers and I noticed that sound was somewhat lacking. That being said I went looking for an amp as I thought that the h/k systems came with an amp, looked under the passenger seat and saw where I think it should have been but obviously you could tell that nothing had ever been mounted there as the threads were still painted on the securing bolts. So is/was it normal for there not to be an amp, and if it was normal for there not to be an amp would it be easir to replace the h/k head unit with an aftermarket one and add a aftermarket amp? Would the speakers need to be changed as well?
Thanks
Update.
Found the amp, its "under" the "under" under the pass seat. Whats the easiest way to test the amp to make sure its working?

I would advise against turning on "Driver" this drives the passenger woofer harder if there isn't a second person up front. Every time someone with an HK says they need a front speaker ask them what one blew out and guess what they will tell you. I went through two of em.
