Iphone 5 in 2013 Clubman

What cord do i need to listen to my Iphone 5 in my 2013 Clubman S with basic audio?

The cord that came w/ the car was for Iphone 4.

Can someone send me a link of what i should order.

Thx.

You need to get a 30 pin to lightning adapter for your iPhone. Go to amazon and search apple 30pin to lightning adapter.

I bought the 0.2m adapter so that it A) fits through my lifeproof case and B) give me extra cord to hold my phone on my lap if need-be and stay plugged in.

The adaptor will not help. I even bought an OEM Apple lightening adapter, and it still doesn't work. Seems we need to petition MINI to do an upgrade!

I read several articles that said the adapter will work with mini connect and actually even charge as it is supposed to do. I do not have my new mini yet, but my MA said they tried the y cable with the apple 30 pin to lighting adapter and it worked fine. I have seen other reports in forums saying it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't work so not sure of the answer?

2013 R59S/SO/Black Stripes/Manual ordered 1/30

It will charge, if you buy an OEM. If you buy a third party, it's hit or miss. However, non of them allows the radio to pick up the iPhone as an iPod like the iPhone 4, and therefore, will not offer playback of the music and cataloging of the titles and playlists.

I use my iPhone 5 in my mini with connect everyday. I have the OEM Y-cable and the apple 30 pin to lightning adapter and it works great. Charges, connect works, everything just like it did on my 4

Read the post you were quoting...

Everything I've seen is that the iPhone 5 works just fine with MINI Connected - only the "plug-in" piece doesn't work... But the rest works without any issues...

This is the experience I am having. Everything works except the plug in. Some said there's cut off after 15 minutes. The only time this happened to me was before I turned off the auto lock on my phone. The auto lock does shut it off.

"Plug-in" won't work with iPhone 5 because the lightning connector does not support video out.

This is the one you need - it works for me in both of my family Minis. I have connected/nav, my wife doesn't. The only thing that doesn't work is the display mirror, but I never used that anyways.

When I posted that I hadn't yet taken delivery of my MINI... Since I've gotten it I've yet to have my phone disconnect, and I've done two 3+ hour road trips since then... You may want to update the car's software...
