Just got my mini - spend more than I planned on - although paid sticker but it had a navigation system which was 1600 extra - but it was now or never - otherwise wait for 3 more months. Does anyone have one also? What do you think of it? It is a lot of fun, but the languages offered here in the US are only English (and it says "motorway" in a British accent instead of freeway - it sounds funny here in the US) and German languages. I want ot add French and Spanish to it - does nayone know if it is possible and how? BMW US told me no way to get it in the US.

My mini is silver, black roof, leather, sport package, automatic, sunroof, nav system - the works - and it still was only 25,000!!! Amazing.

Cool!
Congrats on the car!
Also Welcome to the site!
If you can.... we would love to add pics of it in the "Members MINIs" Gallery.

Also if you could let myself and others here on the board know how well the nav system works. I travel quite a bit and would love to have it.... if it worked really well.
Currently I'm using MS Trip Maker as my map software. It does the job but I would love to have an on-board map system.
Do you know if you can set a trip with say several stops?
If so I'm in!

Again welcome.... and Happy Motoring.
SW

Haven't played with the Nav much just yet. The one thing about it: it is installed in the middle of the dash, in place of the large speedometer, an the speedometer is instead on the steeering column next to the tachometer (and the same - smaller - size). its a BMW nav system, same as in all beemers. I do not know about adding it, mught be difficult.

Once again: any thoughts on language upgrades (I want my MINI to be multi-ligual - somehow French as a second language suits her better than German ) anyone? Those of you who owned/own beemers in other countries?

Or computer wiz's?
